Same form letter as others.

Dear xxxx

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to read your work. I understand the querying process can be difficult at times, and want you to know how seriously we consider each project we receive at Folio. I am sorry to say, though, that unfortunately I do not have a place on my current list to take this on.

Please keep in mind that every agent has different tastes and sensibilities and more or less bandwidth to take on new projects at any given time. And this is a crazily subjective business. What does not work for one agent may work perfectly for another, and I encourage you to continue your search for someone to champion your work, and trust you will find the agent your work absolutely clicks with.

Please know I wish you all the best,

@nicholelouise Margaret is listed. You may have had some filters set on the search page that prevented her from being shown.

A very nice rejection for Commercial (83K words) in 18 days:

I want to thank you personally for giving me the opportunity to read your work. I understand the querying process can be difficult at times, and want you to know how seriously we consider each project we receive at Folio. I am sorry to say, though, that unfortunately I do not have a place on my current list to take this on.

What does not work for one agent may work perfectly for another, and I encourage you to continue your search for someone to champion your work, and trust you will find the agent (or publisher) your work absolutely clicks with.

I received a pass on Feb. 7. Because, unfortunately, receiving such a nice one has become so rare, I will share it here and encourage you to try this agent:

I'm sorry - I didn't see your query when it first landed and want to thank you personally for giving me the opportunity to read your work. I understand the querying process can be difficult at times, and want you to know how seriously we consider each project we receive at Folio. I am sorry to say, though, that unfortunately I do not have a place on my current list to take this on.

Please know I wish you all the best, Jeff

I emailed querymanager about the issue of my Proposal being cut off in midsentence. Querymanager never responded.

It looks like he has rejected every Young Adult MS (using the report generator), and he's not listed on the Folio Jr. page. Has anyone seen him specifically say he takes YA? I nervous to send and get an autoreject since the agency doesn't seem to want you to query more than one agent.

*Generally, if an agent at Folio declines a manuscript, we felt it wasn’t a fit for any of the agents at the agency. That said, if an author feels strongly that another Folio agent should have the chance to review the author’s submission, please let the second agent know that the author has already submitted the project to other agents within Folio.

Anyone else noticed this?--When I checked the query details through Querymanager, my NF Proposal ended abruptly in mid-sentence, even though there are no preset word or character limits for that section. It just says to paste in the entire Proposal..
