"Thanks for writing me and letting me take a look at -. I apologize for the form letter, but the volume of query letters I receive makes it impossible to send personal responses to every writer.
Unfortunately, I must pass on your material. I realize it is difficult to judge your potential from a query and first five pages alone, but please know that I give serious attention to every letter and writing sample I receive.
Best of luck with your agent search"

Been extremely busy so this update is 2 months late, but long story short, I got an offer from a Big 5 publisher and went on a whirlwind search for an agent. An agent that rejected my query at Donald Mass recommended I try his colleague, Cameron, and so I sent her the query that evening, and by that night, she'd requested and received the full manuscript. About 4 days later we had a zoom call, and I hit it off with her right away. I'd already had one good offer by then, but I accepted her offer of representation on the spot. I have had no regrets since. She's a consummate professional, but also fun to work with.
Good luck to everyone else out there searching. It can happen when you're least looking for it. I'd stopped querying several years ago. It was a chance submission to an open call that get me my deal and my agent. Take every opportunity you get, but don't get down on yourself if it doesn't work out. Sometimes, it's because something better is waiting for you right around the corner.

@Sensoo you could always send a polite nudge to inquire about the status of your query. 3 months is a decent time to follow up at.

It's been 109 days. Considering CNR. I know this agent has variable response times, and there are people much later than me getting responses, so I'm not sure if should hold out longer or query someone else at the agency. I didn't see the "Expect reply in four weeks" on her profile? But I might have missed it.
