The message:
"Thank you so much for sending along your work for consideration and for your patience as I've worked my way through my insane inbox. My clients have kept me quite busy this year, so I wasn't able to spend as much time in my inbox as I would have liked and appreciate your understanding. Given my current workload, I've had to be even more selective about the projects I take on and I'm sorry to say this wasn't a match. I enjoyed the read and I wish you all the best with this manuscript as you move forward with it or others. Much of this boils down to personal preference, so what doesn't work for me may work for someone else! I firmly believe that authors deserve to have an agent who is passionate about their work, and I'm afraid I'm not that agent for this particular project. I encourage you to keep querying and keep writing. Best wishes in finding the perfect agent and good luck in your future writing endeavors."

I guess it's nice for her to give authors closure. But I expect, after so long, so many people have moved on to new manuscripts. Does she think 16 months later that I'm still waiting for the rejection? I discarded this as a CNR an entire year ago. And to send out a form reject on top of it, after making people wait THIS LONG? I'm not sure what the point is. It feels a bit like a smack to the face.
