Rena’s okay— I just checked in with her.

I queried her on February 1, 2023. On May 28, I received a full request. My manuscript matches her MSWL in that it is adult science fiction of a particularly lyrical and poetic style with a thread of Jewishness to express my love for my Jewish brothers and sisters. I am still waiting to hear back on the manuscript, but I have been periodically checking in with her for the duration of the war, and she’s okay. As okay as it is possible to be under the circumstances. I hope that my book with its themes of love and war and sacrifice and family and peace could be a comfort to her.
