Similar confusion with what to sub to this agent as below. Though not listed here on QT, his profile on the agency's website lists more interests than here, including adult fic. So I went ahead and queried him but was rejected with him saying, "Thanks, but I work primarily on children's books." Frustrating to have the agency's website be inaccurate.

Very quick response (less than 15 minues). Stephen wrote: Thanks. I'm not interested in horror. A bit confused as I have a gothic horror which surrounds a ghost story which Stephen states he would be interested in: A good mystery perhaps, a ghost story, some poetry, something with a bit of theater. Something to dazzle me. Still, it was a quick turnaround - even if it has left me wondering whether I should perhaps change the genre of my novel to paranormal or supernatural.

Sent a query for a YA fantasy/hybrid to Stephen but never heard back either way, so unsure it was received, so resent it. I'm guessing that is a "no thanks." Still unsure he got it.

@piperp Thanks for sharing. It helps to know I'm not the only one with a delayed response. I wonder why some get a quick response and some do not. I don't know whether the delay is a good sign or not.
