Children's chapter book, 4,000 WC
Queried: 2/18/2025, Very quick response. Kind comments and asked for a full ms.
Sent followup email: 5/8/25
Sent book two in the series 6/20/25
Checked in on 10/2/25 and he said he would get back with me.
Seems like a thoughtful and kind man. I know he has success selling books.
Waiting for response but also querying other agents.

@TomiRues - it's good you're continuing to query. Speaking from experience, he is very kind and quick to respond for fulls/more. But when not interested in the fulls/more, he doesn't respond back at all. (Until he receives a Notice of Rep/Pub, at which time you'll usually get a quick response back again.) Good luck!

@alykat96 He's a well-respected veteran in the industry and sometimes people ask for unusual things. Always good to follow instructions. Good luck!

Does anyone else think his submission guidelines are weird? It looks like it's just the first twenty pages, a one paragraph bio, and a synopsis. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but how can a synopsis be one paragraph if it's the entire plot? Maybe he means the pitch? A summary? And it seems weird he wouldn't ask for comp titles or word count or any of the traditional query stuff. I'm sending him exactly what he's asking for but it just feels wrong.
