Hello, and thank you for the opportunity to review your work. I'm afraid the project isn't a good fit for me, but I wish you all the best in finding representation elsewhere.

Received a partial form rejection but it came with a PS with a long list of writing resources. I don’t know if this is part of the partial form rejection or if my writing really was just in need of massive improvement. :-/ nvm haha

Thanks so much for submitting your partial for my review. After careful consideration, I’m sorry to say that I just didn’t connect with it enough to move forward. I’m sorry to not have better news after all this time, and I regret to be sending a form response without the bandwidth to offer more feedback or answer follow-up questions, but I wish you all the best with this manuscript and your writing.

Thanks again for thinking of me with your work!

P.S. Of course, I don’t know exactly where you are in your publishing journey, but if you’re interested in additional resources, here are some books, podcasts, articles and writing courses that writers I’ve worked with over the years have found helpful:

Incredibly sweet semi-personalized rejection which called my book "well-written and humorous" but also mentioned Rachel was already repping something similar. Sad, because she was one of my dream agents, but I pivoted hard, genre-wise, so it might not have been the best fit long-term.

Rejection: 10/18/24

Kind, personalized rejection. Was complimentary about my writing, but said she’s not doing much in the fantasy space, and even though this was accessible, she still felt out of her depth reading it. I appreciate, the clear response, and the fact that she stuck to her stated timeline of 4 months for partials!
