@mandigarlyn If I remember right, it takes him 2 months to respond, so don't give up hope quite yet!
And in 2 months, if you haven't heard back and you included a SASE, feel free to nudge via his querying email. I had to do that since they forgot to mail my SASE back, haha.

Does anyone know how long mailed queries (with a SASE) take to hear a response on in recent days?
I mailed mine in mid-July, and according to their website, they have a window of 60 days. I'd consider mine a possible no-response rejection, but I included a SASE, which guarantees a response..
I'm debating emailing a nudge to ask if they received it or can't find it and if I should send a replacement query. But at the same time, I don't want to jump the gun, since sometimes mail can be slow. Thoughts?
Belated Update:
I nudged them mid-October via email, heard no response. However, two weeks later, my SASE postmarked mid-October (around a week after my email) arrived in the mail with a form rejection (go figure) dated SEPTEMBER. They apparently forgot to send it. Mistakes happen, and I wish they at least let me know what happened after I nudged, but it is what it is. I'm just glad they finally sent it!

I queried in-person at a writer's conference, and Steve was very helpful even though he wasn't the right fit (I was querying general market MG fantasy, and it sounds like he's more focused on christian or clean/christian-friendly markets).

Steve responded to my proposal within two weeks with an encouraging rejection letter. He has integrity and cares for the writing community.

Paper query in mid-January; request for full in mid-June; rejection late June, with open door to resubmit with a rewrite (not a revise and resubmit--rewrite, restart process). Helpful comments--very straightforward. Blunt but encouraging.

Sent out a query on the 23 of January. Will update as the situation continues.
Got a reply back on January 31. Was a rejection. "Yours is not what we are looking for at this time"

(I had originally sent my first proposal and fifty pgs in Oct 2016. In December I figured it had been rejected and sent to another agency.) First week of Jan, 2017, I received an email that during the holidays it had been misplaced, and put back into the pile. So technically resubmitted on their end in Jan and received on March 15 request to send entire MS, which was sent on March 17, 2017.
