"Dear Chris,

It's lovely to hear from you. Thank you so much for thinking of Starling Literary + Media. I am thrilled to be a part of this new venture and delighted to have the chance to consider THE FALL OF '08: BONDS.

I find the premise of THE FALL OF '08: BONDS compelling, and I read your query and sample with interest. Sadly, this project is not the right fit for my list at this time, and so I am going to step aside for now. I wish I could provide a more personalized note, but given the volume of queries I'm currently receiving (600+ per month), it's not possible. But please know I truly appreciate the opportunity to consider your work.

Chris, I am so sorry not to offer you representation at this time. While this particular project is not the right fit for my list, others might find it perfect for theirs. I encourage you to keep striving for publication. I have no doubt you will have great success with THE FALL OF '08: BONDS, and I wish you the very best of luck as you move forward.

Thank you again for thinking of our agency.

Best,
Jennifer"
