Very nice rejection. If I do end up writing another, I will def be re-querying her.

"Thank you so much for sharing the first fifty pages of __________ with me, and for your patience as I've considered them. I continue to like your voice and the premise here, but I'm going on maternity leave soon and so I think the timing isn't quite right. I'm going to step aside, but I hope you'll keep me in mind should you find yourself with a new manuscript to query come 2025.

All my best,
Lauren"

Received nice rejection email on 8/29/24 stating that she wanted to consider my work but was going on maternity leave. She invited me to submit to another agent at Folio Lit.

Thank you so much for your query. I had hoped to consider your work before now, but given that I am going on maternity leave at the end of September, I believe it is best if I step aside. Please feel free to reach out to another Folio agent who is currently accepting queries. To learn more about Folio, please visit Foliolit.com.

All my best,

Lauren
