@AugustoV, since Catherine asked on her MSWL for 'the first three chapters (approx. 10,000 words),' I figured she was more interested in a rough wordcount than an exact number of chapters. So if your three chapters are much shorter than 10,000 words, I'd go for a sample size that matches her wordcount instead.
My first three chapters totalled to 12,000 words, but that seemed close enough to her guidelines for me to send them. Hope this helps :)
