Query: 1 September 2025
Notified of full MS requests: 2 September, 22 October 2025 (didn't get offers)
Kind, personalised rejection: 6 November 2025

Hi Elaine,
I'm sorry to have been so slow, I've been very behind on my reading. Thank you for the kind words, it means a great deal, and congratulations on the interest, that's wonderful, and I'm not surprised.
I really admired the voice of this and humor, but I'm going to step aside because I didn't feel I had the necessary editorial vision for it. I'm sorry for this, and it's incredibly subjective, but I know how important it is to have that confidence of vision before taking on a project.
Best of luck with next steps, and I hope you find a wonderful home for it.
Best wishes,
Catherine

@mcwilfo
That's what I would have done too since their agency is pretty open about wanting to be notified of fulls! (also congratulations on your full! :D)

Q by email: 8/31/25 YA fantasy
marked CNR on 11/1/25 as website says 8 weeks of no answer is a pass.
I would've waited a little longer, but the data explorer tool shows she's rejecting manuscripts that came in well after mine. While I'd like to believe I'm in her maybe pile, I think it's more likely the no-answer-is-a-no response.

Q: 10/20/25
YA sci-fi 60k
As I had an existing outstanding full request, I notified of that in the original email rather than a follow-up. Not sure if that's the best procedure?
