For people feeling disappointed about form rejections-- Lauren has multiple different forms (i've counted 3 so far). So even with 'just' a from, it IS personalized to your book to a certain extent. I've seen one for good worldbuilding/premise, one for good characters, and one for wordcount being off. IMO-- if you get the good worldbuilding one, that actually means you need to work on character and maybe pacing, and if you get the good character one, that actually means you need to work on world-building/premise.

Form rejection: 6/1/2026
Rejection felt personal, but it's a form. Regardless, it was kind:
Thank you so much for sending XXXXX for our consideration! The premise was so strong, and the worldbuilding was intriguing throughout. While we enjoyed your writing, we were unable to fully immerse ourselves in the narrative as much as we would need to be your champions. Unfortunately, we will have to step aside, but we will be cheering you on from the sidelines.
Wishing you all the best.

I got the same personalized-sounding rejection as the others below. My spirits were temporarily lifted and I thought about how I might revise to help the next agent more fully engage with the narrative. So even though her rejection sounded nice, it's sort of a bigger disappointment now that I know it's a from reject with likely no real advice behind it. Moving on...
