Cathie has updated her MWSL, and on Twitter said she's thinking of opening in Aug/Sept.

I queried in August and received an apologetic, lengthy, and very kind rejection yesterday. It might be a form--but if it is, I marked it helpful anyway because she said the nicest most encouraging things about this whole process. Kudos to her for actually responding to querying authors. At this point, I'm impressed by any agent who responds consistently-even with a simple not for me. I mean, really, is it that hard to hit a key for a rejection? It is just more rudeness running rampant---standards of behavior keep getting lower and lower. It is really sad.

I had a conversation with Cathie on Twitter, which led me to sending a message asking when she would reopen. I told her I thought my material might fit with her. She kindly invited me to submit anyway. Although I received a same-day (today) rejection, it was kind and thoughtful. I found her overall to be very kind and helpful to writers. Check out her Twitter. She has started a new Facebook group for writers and agents (and editors?). Anyway, I think she would be a great agent to work with.
