On 2/8/2011, I sent him an equery. Today I've gotten an equery rejection--the same as Professor's.

5/6, I've sent him a query. Today I've heard back from him--same as before.

The usual. I've a feeling they see the setting of book one and think all three in the trilogy are historicals - and they are not.

Thank you for submitting your query to The Jud Laghi Agency--unfortunately, this one doesn't sound like it's right for us.

Sorry to disappoint, but we appreciate the opportunity to consider your work and wish you luck in finding representation.

Sincerely,

The Jud Laghi Agency

He's had my manuscript for about 10 weeks. I went ahead and sent a status update last Friday. From the research I've done, I've found that's a reasonable amount of time to wait for a nudge. I've nudged other agents after that amount of time and have gotten very polite responses. An FYI, I have a friend who just received an offer and Laghi failed to respond to my friend at all. This may simply be his pattern Hard to say.

Hey mffischetti,

Yep I'm still waiting. I really can't decide if I should send a follow-up. I've never had a follow-up/nudge go well, but at the same time, I don't want to my full to get lost in the slush...I'll let you know if I hear anything, can you do the same?

Kay and Wally,

Looks like we all sent fulls in the last week of July. I'm still waiting. Are you all too?

Yes, sent as an attachment. Asked for a brief response to make sure it didn't get caught in his spam filter. He said he got it. Sent full on 10/29.

okay... probably a stupid question at this point, but here goes....

When Mr. Laghi requested your full by email did you all send it as an attachment?? I did, but maybe I shouldn't have

Received a quick and polite reject today (2 weeks) of my full -a blessing since I didn't have to wait around for months for a predictable result.

"It's an interesting idea for a book, but not right for me."

This is not a statement that would convince me he read anything but my query letter. The only positive about his requesting a full from just about everyone who tweaks his interest is you may send it via E-mail. No heavy reproduction and postage expense. Oh, well, onward and upward.
