People are on tiktok talking about this agent. Alleging that She received a query, turned the author who created the idea down and then asked if any other writers could make a story like the original writer's idea. That's terrifying. I hope it's not true.

@SaraphinaMarie Thanks for the extra note/link below re: agent Savannah B. She requested a full from me after a contest win, but I felt unsettled about it after looking at her online presence. It was more a gut feeling--which we should ALWAYS trust, esp in this industry! This feels like confirmation of my decision.

Like some others, I had a submission with her and received a form rejection on Monday, June 24th. Much easier not to take personally once I read this news. As someone else said, it's a bit of a blow but a bullet dodged! I can only imagine what her clients are going through this week.

I thought it odd that her form rejection email concluded with a link to her personal website where she sells editorial and book development services to writers.
If she ends up with another agency, I hope they are able to give her more guidance on propriety.

Hilary Harwell lost her job over a tweet which stated she wanted a 'better' author to write an idea after rejecting a query.
peyton june!!!@peyjuly·Jun 24
So I guess an agent deactivated after she was called out for tweeting the premise of a book she rejected. Last year she rejected my query because “no one wants to buy books about grief.” She then tweeted part of the rejection as “advice” for authors. I was gutted.
