I think this was one of the nicest most "don't give up" form responses I had ever seen. Thank you for the reply :)

"Thank you for your recent query letter to Flannery Literary, and please accept our apologies for this form letter--a response method we resort to in the interest of timeliness. Rest assured that the time we did not spend customizing a personal response was, instead, used to carefully consider your submission to determine if we could be helpful to you.

Our current workload prohibits us from taking on all but a select few new projects at the moment and we are, therefore, unable to extend an offer of representation or an invitation to submit more writing at this time. We offer representation based solely upon the current needs and interests of this agency and we simply didn't see a perfect match. Given that the publishing industry is admittedly subjective, no doubt another agency/editor will be the perfect publishing connection for you and your work. We are a small agency and have always kept our client list limited; we are most assuredly NOT passing judgment on the worth or merit of your work. Alas, we pass up far more than we are able to take on.

Again, thank you for thinking of Flannery Literary. We appreciate your time and attention, and we know that querying strangers is a daunting process that can leave a writer feeling vulnerable and uncertain. We celebrate your bravery, and we wish you the best of luck in all your future marketing efforts. The world will always need writers who care about young people--keep going.

We are especially grateful to have heard from you in these strange and uncertain times. Now, more than ever, writing for young people is so important because books have always given readers new skills and tools to better face life on life's terms. Thank you for being part of the solution, part of the force for good. Here's to better days already on the way..."

Truly the oddest form rejection I've ever gotten.
