QT: Can you tell us a little bit about the book for which you've found representation? What inspired you to write it?

Gabrielle Landi:
I'm an indie author seeking representation for foreign rights after receiving multiple offers from the same country. So I found representation with my already published series, The Galamere Chronicles, a cozy romantasy fairy tale retelling series. The first one is Snow White with seven goats, the second is Beauty and the Beast with a grumpy cursed lord and a feisty librarian in a marriage of convenience (with a baby dragon), and the third one is Cinderella meets Anastasia. As a goat farmer for most of my life, Snow White with seven goats popped into my head one day...and I just knew I had to write it. LOL

QT: How long have you been writing?

Gabrielle Landi:
Fifteen years now!

QT: How long have you been working on this book?

Gabrielle Landi:
These books each took about a year from starting to outline to publishing them.

QT: Is this your first book?

Gabrielle Landi:
Nope! I wrote fifteen practice books before I knew I was ready to start publishing!

QT: How many times did you re-write/edit your book?

Gabrielle Landi:
I do 3-4 rounds of edits per book.

QT: Did you have beta readers for your book?

Gabrielle Landi:
I do! They are a lifesaver and have saved me from many, many plot holes.

QT: Did you outline your book, or do you write from the hip?

Gabrielle Landi:
I used to be a pantser, but now I'm a dedicated outliner using Romancing The Beat!

QT: How long have you been querying for this book? Other books?

Gabrielle Landi:
I've been querying for almost a year now.

QT: About how many query letters did you send out for this book?

Gabrielle Landi:
Almost 80!

I started writing when I was fifteen and I've been independently publishing for four years, initially authoring a contemporary romance series before returning to my first love—cozy fantasy.
