Always verify publisher's information before sending your query. Verify the publisher's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the publisher is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for publisher information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the publisher's website.

Leave comments about your experiences with this publisher, or read what other authors have to say.

Yah, not sure I trust that whole £2 submission fee thing, whatever their explanation. I mean it's a nit, but they say it's to prevent them having to upgrade their submission form to one they have to pay for which means 1) the submission form is probably shareware and therefore insecure (especially since they can't afford their own webmaster) and 2) if they can't afford a webmaster, they probably can't afford to pay their authors, either. Keeping them in my list but giving them bottom priority (hope I don't end up getting that desperate!)

According to their Submittable site, " We are looking at genre fiction only. This means horror, sci-fi, and fantasy." Their list includes lots of nonfiction (especially fitness titles) so perhaps this will change, but for now, don't bother unless you fit their category.
