Always verify publisher's information before sending your query. Verify the publisher's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the publisher is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for publisher information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the publisher's website.

Received a form rejection letter on May 24, 2016, for my 116K science fiction/conspiracy novel. Sad but it's an actual response which is rare these days. Appreciate the publisher's attention and reply in what I felt was a reasonable time of about 50 days.
