Always verify publisher's information before sending your query. Verify the publisher's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the publisher is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for publisher information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the publisher's website.

Leave comments about your experiences with this publisher, or read what other authors have to say.

LOL. That's one I've never heard before. Any paper ms. that's been pulled out of an envelope, read, thumbed through, handled etc. and made a roundtrip via the USPS is probably not fit to be re-submitted elsewhere. You re-cycle and re-print a fresh manuscript.

Instead of a SASE, this publisher wants you to send a check to cover the cost of return mail.
I wouldn't.
