Always verify publisher's information before sending your query. Verify the publisher's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the publisher is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for publisher information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the publisher's website.

Leave comments about your experiences with this publisher, or read what other authors have to say.

The system auto closed this one for me but I fixed it back to undecided. I queried on 8 December during the window and have yet to receive a response.

I'm checking in on this for the first time in a while. I also submitted during the open window in early January. I have heard nothing.

My writer's group still thinks not hearing anything yet is good news. They do say that publishers do decide this time of what year what they ae interested in, and that's when they ask for the whole shebang.

Update: my entry in the data here says "Closed/No reply," which is automatically generated by Querytracker once 120 days have passed. Therefore we don't know the actual stats for rejections with a publisher that's slow to respond.

I submitted three different things in January. Got "no thank you" to two within days. Still waiting on the third (suspense, 75000 words). My writers' group thinks that it's good news that I haven't heard anything.
