Always verify publisher's information before sending your query. Verify the publisher's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the publisher is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for publisher information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the publisher's website.

What Documents Will You Need to Submit?

We welcome the submission of a well-written, detailed synopsis and the first three chapters of completed manuscripts directly from authors. Authors who are represented by agents should have the agent submit the manuscript on behalf of the author. Agented submissions by the author will not be accepted. We will not consider proposals or incomplete manuscripts.

Before submitting your work, we encourage you to ensure that your writing is of publishable standard.
How Should You Submit Your Manuscript?

Knox Robinson does not accept submissions made by mail/post or fax. All submissions must be made via our new online submission system.

We have digitized our author questionnaire. You will be asked a series of questions which will aid us in reviewing your manuscript and determining the marketability of your novel.

Please answer all questions as thoroughly as possible. At the end of the questionnaire, you will be able to upload the first three chapters of your novel directly to our system. You will then receive email notifications of each step of the review process, including an email outlining our final decision with feedback if applicable.

Thank you for your interest in publishing with Knox Robinson and good luck!

If you are ready to submit, please begin by clicking the “Next” button.

I queried them and was accepted very quickly over a year ago. However, I had a friend of a friend who's an agent (unfortunately, not repping my genres) look over the contract, and she suggested some improvements (most of it to movie and other related rights). I sent it back with those changes, as this agent and I both think my novel has good movie potential.

They would not accept the tweaked contract. Be aware of this, folks. They allow NO changes to their standard contract. If JK Rowling had signed a contract like this for Harry Potter, they would have been taking more than a good chunk of all the related movie-related rights and goods. I wasn't willing to do that.

Good luck to the rest of you subbing.
