If you've already accepted another contract and/or published your book, there is no need to respond to let us know. Though we congratulate you , telling us that you wasted our editors time by not notifying us earlier is not necessary.

regarding email confirmation. When I clicked send, it gave me a brief message, that my submission was sent. So I guess that's confirmation enough. If you looked away you might have missed it.
Yes, they need a facebook link. No harm in setting up an author page. You can make it private, as mine is. They probably just want to know you're a real person. I doubt they'd be scrolling through everyone's pages.
