So I just subbed from a #kidpit like BUT I don't have an agent. I didn't see anything on the site that said only agented writers...I'm confused? Why would they like manuscripts pitched in a contest for people without agents?

Update: I got a request for my full. I have no agent, so I think they're open to unagented manuscripts. This may be because she requested it through the pitch party.

I believe they're accepting unagented subs at this time (not sure if that'll change in future).

Guidelines did not say anything about agents, so I submitted without one.

This should probably be updated. Their submissions page says nothing about only taking agented authors.

Kiraelle, good question. If they're true to their word, they won't start deleting until February 28th. But who knows, really?

I sent a query, just in case. Can't hurt to try!

I wonder if they're actually looking at submissions sent this month, or just deleting everything.

In case anyone's interested, this blog has the old submission instructions from FLUX still posted. http://vadisworld.blogspot.com/2006/08/submission-guidelines-tor-lllewellyn.html

raven1 I sent you a message.

I'm sorry everyone following this, I didn't get a good look at the submission requirements. If anyone else has queried or knows what they're looking for, your input would be greatly appreciated.

CLeigh, did you get a good look at their sub guidelines before they changed? What do they like to see?

***Patrick***

Here's a submission update; it looks like after Feb they will no longer take subs from unagented authors:

As of March 1, FLUX will no longer be accepting unsolicited submissions. Any unsolicited submission sent after February 28th will be deleted unread.

Only electronic submissions will be accepted from agents.
