Now that they are closed to queries, I hope they have the courtesy to reply to the queries
that they received during the July 1- Sep 1 "open to queries" period.

11/1/12, I queried Sandra with Chain Reaction. Jennifer thanked me for my follow-up and asked if I'd gotten an auto-response. I replied back I did and got a new one--she's closed to submissions except for referrals and such. Oh well. I got a NR.

I submitted a full to Jill Marr several weeks back per her request. Hope she's still considering it since she is now closed to new queries. Perhaps she's simply overwhelmed with submissions, and/or perhaps taking a hiatus for the holidays. Kristen Nelson's agency in Denver puts out a blog/newsletter that I subscribe to. Just today she said they receive between 300 and 600 queries each day. Even with several agents, that is waaaay too much for one agency to handle, so my hope is that Jill is simply spending time to go through her slush pile and manuscripts to give them each fair attention before accepting a new "batch."

Hmm, I'm still waiting to hear from my query last week on Chain Reaction, since she's now closed.
