Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

eltsmith: Some agents request mss but don't seem to read them unless the author nudges them with an offer of rep. With several people on these pages waiting many months for responses to fulls, I'm starting to wonder if that's what's happening here. But like you, I'm hoping all the 'waiters' will have something to delight in soon. :)

I seem to recall Susan also mentioning another new client a month or two ago on twitter. According to the data explorer, she's made two middle grade full requests and one young adult in the last month. Based on that, she's either still reading manuscripts or at least she's willing to amass a backlog.

Best of luck, Spinderella, Specukate, and everyone else waiting. I hope you'll have something happy to delight in for your wait.

Spinderella: a year's wait is awful! Please let us know what Susan says to your nudge. Good luck!

May 5. Seems from Susan's tweets that she's recently taken on a picture bk writer/illustrator as a client. Her recent activity on Publishers Marketplace is with picture bks also. Maybe she just doesn't have time to read novels anymore...
