Dear Writers,

I am launching The Kepner Agency after nine years with Victoria Sanders & Associates as an agent and director of international rights. I welcome your queries at my new email address: chris@kepneragency.com. Please include the first three chapters, or roughly 25 pages, in the body of your query email. While I take queries seriously and endeavor to read each one carefully, I don't like to send rejection letters, so please understand that you'll only receive a response if I would like to discuss your project further.

Many thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Chris Kepner

Hm. I used the thewritersadvocate@gmail.com for my query. It's not on the VSA website, but on his personal website it says "If you think Victoria Sanders or Tanya McKinnon would be a better fit for your project, read these submission guidelines and send your query to queriesvsa[at]gmail.com. If you’d like to send me a query letter, email it to thewritersadvocate[at]gmail.com." That's probably old info so I guess I should have checked the comments before sending! Oh well.

Website says to email query and first three chapters to queriesvsa@gmail.com. That's a different email than the one on QT site.

Mr. Kepner has a kind auto-reply that suffices if you don't hear from him again. Text below. Maybe it's something new he's trying in 2016.

Dear Author,
Thank you very much for thinking of me during the query process. I regret that I'm unable to respond to all queries individually due to the volume received, but I do take them seriously and endeavor to review each one carefully.

I appreciate your patience and welcome your thoughts on the various topics under discussion on The Writer's Advocate. Thank you again for your interest.

Sincerely,
*Chris Kepner*
