11/1/16--Submitted after finding the email was saved to my drafts in my school email and never sent.

And sometimes you accidentally query an agent who is, in fact, closed to queries. Face-palm.

11/2/16: Offer of rep made! I ended up turning her down to go with a different agent, but Louise is the real deal. Expects quality from her authors and doesn't beat around the bush, but is also very knowledgeable and professional.

Pitch Madness partial request sent 3-14. First I got an auto-response that she was closed to queries, and then a little while later I got an email from her saying she got it and was looking forward to reading.

This was after she closed to queries but I put pitch wars in the subject per her instructions. Nothing as of today

Initially sent a query to Jenny Bent on 4/24. Today I got a note from Louise, saying that Jenny had passed the query to her and that she (Louise) would love to read the full manuscript. This is exciting, because Louise is closed to queries.

Update: Nudged her on 10/12 (I am a patient person.)

Given the comments by others on this thread, my advice is don't hold your breath. She's closed to queries and obviously has a full client load. I guess she sometimes can't help herself if she goes on #PitMad or is given a referral--but the chances of hearing back without constant nudging are slim. I left my first agent because the modus operandi was the need for constant nudging, and I want someone who is a timely communicator. Onwards!
