EQ sent (This query was sent in response to a July post on Chuck Sambuchino's GTLA blog. It will be interesting to see how she responds, since officially she is closed to queries)

I queried her today because I had a referral from another agent. I got an automated reply about being closed to queries - hopefully they look close at the subject line.

UPDATE - She wrote back a friendly note saying she will look at my submission soon.

I sent a query in November, got the automated response, and then got a note saying they look forward to reading (the 15 pages, the synopsis, enclosed per their guidelines)

As of December 1st they won't take queries, so anything prior to that should be in their "to be looked at pile." Simple as that.

So does that mean any queries sent in November will be considered? Or should we just close it out? Hmm... *cursor hovers over update status button*

Sam, that's interesting. I'm waiting to hear from Sandra on my query for Chain Reaction I sent last month.

Very courteous and professional. LitFic. Sent 10 pages 7/17. Rejection 7/26 saying I'm a very good writer, have great credentials, and that someone will take this book on, just not them.

Re "accepting unsolicited submissions" on their website:

"What to include in your emailed submission package..."

Send query letter and 10-15 pages of your ms in the body of the email --
do not confuse "accepting unsolicited submissions" to mean your entire ms!
