FQ: 2/24/22
ER: 2/28/22 - custom response

Dark Fantasy 96K - "love the worldbuilding and the voice is on-point; I’m just not sure the market for grimdark is robust enough to sell it right now." - well, that's both encouraging and not so much. :)

FQ: 12/15/20
Full Request: 12/16/20, sent next day
Nudged on 04/02/21 with revised manuscript
Full Request: 05/30/21, sent two days later
Nudged on 09/01/21
Rejection: 09/14/21

"Dear ______,
Thank you for sending me the manuscript for ______. I’m so sorry to have taken so long on it, but I simply can’t take on any more work at this time. Wishing you the best of luck in securing representation."

YA SF, 88k

Incredibly disappointing. Not the rejection itself; based on the wording (which doesn't seem to be his standard form letter based on previous examples) I'm left with the impression he never gave this manuscript a fair shot after nine months, two nudges, and two separate requests. He seems like a passionate and hardworking person but between this experience and his own publishing career, I have to question whether his heart's still in it as an agent or not.

@emlm21: You don't actually nudge agents here. You only note here once you have. But to nudge an agent who uses Query Manager, go to the email that was automatically sent to you upon querying, click on the 'Check Your Query Status' tab, go down to the 'Actions' section and click on 'Send a Message'.

How do you nudge an agent on here when you submit via Query Manager? Thanks!
