Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

I can't figure out if Mr. Stoloff likes sample pages included. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but these comments. Have others sent just a query?

Is everyone who submitted recently using the Submittable form? I submitted through that form with 50 sample pages at the end of January and the status is still showing "in progress." I want to be hopeful but don't dare. :)

Congrats sharon1968! I'm thinking of querying him, but am confused about the sample. Did you attach the first chapter, ten pages, thirty pages? It wasn't clear.

Dear Remember123,

Thank you very much for your query concerning XXX (an excerpt). I'm afraid I'm so swamped with current commitments that I'm unable to give proper consideration to your work. But I do appreciate having had a chance to take a look at this, and wish you the best of luck with this and other projects.

Sincerely,
Sam Stoloff

Hmm. He seems to have been swamped for a very long time. Maybe it's time to change up that form.
