Incredibly kind pass for lack of knowing how to fix areas of concern: Feb 2, 2024

"Thank you for sending me the manuscript for [TITLE]. I found so much to love in this story. I've never seen a magic system like this, and it was extremely cool! I looooved the relationship between [NAME] and her mother, and [NAME] stole my heart pretty immediately. I did have some trouble with the pacing beginning around the 75-100 page mark and didn't quite have a vision for addressing it, so I'm going to step aside. This was a very, very tough decision for me as I really loved the political intrigue and world you built here, but I'm so happy to hear you've gotten other interest and will 1000% be buying this when it's inevitably on shelves. :)"

#DVPit 2023 (Oct) Trinica liked my pitch on Discord. Sent query a few days later.

10/22/2023 Trinica emailed me and requested the full of MS I queried Patrice Caldwell with earlier in the year. Sent same day.

1/3/2024 Trinica requested full of second (#DVPIT) MS to consider alongside first MS. Sent same day.

Hopeful about this one! She's super nice, btw!

1/12/2024 Rejection on both books :( She was really complimentary about my writing. I'm considering asking if she'd be open to revision. These close calls are starting to truly hurt.

Update: Sent it. No shade on her if she rejects. Her pass was super kind.
